Mark is author of The Rules of Attraction: Fourteen practical rules
to help get the right kind of clients, talent and resources to come to you!
(Morgan James Publishing, 2009) Additionally, Mark has authored hundreds
of articles for various publications including his weekly "Business
Update". Many of his articles and commentaries have appeared in Business
Week, Inc, Fortune, Entrepreneur, MSNBC, Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles Times,
and many other publications. He has also appeared on FOX, NPR, CBS and NHK. Mark
writes at least one new article every week and comments in numerous media
outlets.
Talk Show Host
Mark is also the host of the popular
Small Business
Hour radio show which is dedicated to small business news, education,
inspiration and motivation. The show formerly carried by CBS Radio has broadcast
weekly without interruption for over 10 year. Mark was nominated for Small
Business Journalist of the Year by the Small Business Administration for his
work on the show. It is a practical, fact filled hour of relevant business
advice designed especially for entrepreneurs looking to GROW their business.

As the Director of the SBA Network, Mark and his consulting team coach clients
in ways that they can grow their businesses more effectively. He is a
facilitator of conflict and a practical agent of change. Mark is also a
nationally sought after expert on small business marketing and management
practices. Since 1991 he has been an entrepreneur and a leading advocate of
small business.
Educator
Mark is a graduate of Rowan University (B. A.) and Keller Graduate School of
Management (M.B.A.). Mark has also instructed courses at the University level.
He has been an active instructor for the Dale Carnegie Course and The
Dale Carnegie Sales
Advantage where over the last 10 years he has graduated over 1,000 students
from his classes. The alumni receive four (4) continuing education credits from
University schools for completion of the nine-week class. He is one of the few
instructors that is certified to teach the Dale Carnegie Course, The Sales
Advantage Course, The High Impact Presentation Workshop and Breakthrough
Communications Series.
Corporate Leader
Mark worked for the high-end audio company Marantz and Sony Superscope in
various sales and management capacities from 1978 to 1982. He was then recruited
by Nikko Electronics in 1982 as Product Development Manager and lived in Tokyo,
Hamamatsu, Japan, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles where he later became the
Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations and facilitated the sale of the
company to Yamaha Electronics in 1987. He was then recruited by management
consulting giant, Walker Group International in 1987 where he became Senior Vice
President of U.S Operations and was responsible for developing the American
Express Buyers Assurance Program that revolutionized the credit card industry,
and the direct marketing programs for Hitachi, Toshiba and Radio Shack and Tandy
Corporation and Rent-a-Center.
Entrepreneur
Finally Mark established his own creative advertising agency in 1992. His
clients have included American Express Corporation, Cedars Sinai Medical Center,
The Closet Factory, Sword Medical Center, Dale Carnegie Training, Roland
Electronics and others. In 1999 he also became a major shareholder and a Director of the public firm Accesspoint
Corporation and their subsidiary
Processing Source International.
The Personal Side
Mark brings to his clients, classes, radio show, publications and presentations
a unique and inspiring perspective, drawn from his rich background of
achievement as a classical guitarist, Masters swimming expert and author.
Audiences easily identify with his messages and his presentations wherein he

married for 23 years (to the same woman) and lives in Torrance, California but
